DELTA FRONTLINE GOVERNORSHIP ASPIRANT, GBAGI, CHARGES YOUTHS TO PRAY FOR INCUMBENT GOVERNOR TO FINISH STRONG; URGES THEM TO REGISTER FOR THEIR PVC AS IDJERE YOUTHS ASSURE GBAGI OF SUPPORT :
Delta State youths have been called upon to continue to pray for the seating governor of the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to enable his administration finish stronger .
Frontline governorship aspirant come 2023, under the aegis of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, made the call on Sunday October 3rd 2021, while addressing youths at Idjerhe Grammar School field, Jesse, Ethiope west local government area of the state.
According to the leading gubernatorial hopeful, Dr. Okowa, has done well in Idjerhe kingdom, by embarking on massive road construction, noting that only the administration of the Incumbent governor would not do it alone.
He urged the youths to continue to support him so he (Okowa) could do more for the kingdom in the remaining part of his administration.
Meanwhile, after making his governorship intention known to the Idjerhe Council of Chiefs at the Palace of Idjerhe monarch, His Royal Majesty (HRM), Udurie I, and the who-is-who in Idjerhe kingdom, the frontline governorship aspirant, Olorogun Gbagi, has equally presented himself to the youths of the kingdom, his maternal home.
Before addressing the mammoth crowd of youths at Idjerhe Grammar School field, the leading gubernatorial hopeful, Olorogun Gbagi, was received by the Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOOADEC), Barr. John Nani, at his country home.
The former Commissioner for environment and Idjerhe Political Leader, later accompanied Olorogun Gbagi, a former minister of education, to the Palace of Idjerhe traditional ruler where he was received before proceeding to Idjerhe Grammar School field where he addressed the youths.
In his remarks, the prominent guber hopeful, Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, urged the youths to register for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC), to enable them exercise their franchise and constitutional rights.
He said unless they register for their PVC, they would not be able to cast their votes for him during the 2023 governorship election.
Hear him: “Governor Okowa, has constructed roads for us. One person cannot do everything at once”, Gbagi told the youths.
He continued: “As you are praying for Governor Okowa, if you pray for Nani, will he not go forward? He asked.
“After Governor Okowa, handover to me, before I will do one, two, three years, development would have come to Idjerhe kingdom.
“I don’t know any other person that is parading himself to be governor after Okowa, who is from Idjerhe kingdom. If you use your hands to destroy this your opportunity, it will not be good.
“I am your own, this one has come to Idjerhe kingdom, we must take this opportunity home, don’t allow anyone to distabilize the process. Go and call your kinsmen and register for your PVC. It is only your votes that can do it. If you don’t register, what will you use to vote for me? He asked.
In his response, the youth president, Mr. Emurure Clement, who poured encomiums on the criminologist and security expert, said: “you have been tested and proven”.
While calling on the youths to support Olorogun Gbagi, massively, he said: “This is my own and these are our own, are not same thing. You are our own”, he added.
